PROVO, Utah, January 17, 2013 – InsideSales.com, the leading inside sales automation and analytics provider, today announced the United States Patent Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 8,325,738 protecting the ability to engage in any auxiliary function (call recording, conferencing a call, etc.) of a web-based phone call after the call has been made.
The patent, Apparatus System and Method for Web-based Phone Services, claims technology for administration of a web-based call session and protects the use of any auxiliary function engaged during a call, including initiating a call recording, playing a pre-recorded voicemail, bridging a call, and creating a third-party conference call.
“This patent further solidifies InsideSales.com as a communications and sales automation leader,” said Dave Elkington, CEO and founder of InsideSales.com. “These functions create a more efficient and powerful sales automation technology and protect our technology of creating any kind of auxiliary function after a web-based call has been placed.”
This invention affects every industry using web-based telephony features including the inside sales and telemarketing industry.
In January 2012, InsideSales.com was issued its first patent protecting lead response technology. The lead response patent covers the ability to detect online activity and contact the user in conjunction with a preferred or optimal response plan, such as initiating a return call as soon as possible.
