XANT Is ‘Doing Good’ to Support the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals

San Francisco – Dreamforce 2014 – Oct. 14, 2014 – XANT, the leading cloud-based sales acceleration technology company, today announced its Do Good Foundation has donated $100,000 to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals at Dreamforce 2014.

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recognized throughout the world as leaders in health care, known for innovation, technology and compassionate care. As one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation, their expertise covers virtually all pediatric conditions, including cancer, heart disease, neurological disorders, organ transplants and orthopedics as well as the care of critically ill newborns.

XANT patterned its Do Good Foundation after the Salesforce.com Foundation’s 1-1-1 model, donating 1 percent of company revenue, 1 percent of employee time, and 1 percent of product to worthy causes and nonprofit organizations designed to make an impact for those in need.

“Salesforce.com is a great example of corporate philanthropy in the tech industry,” said XANT CEO Dave Elkington. “XANT is honored to team up with the Salesforce.com Foundation to help children receive the medical care they need, and we encourage other companies to join us in donating to a worthy cause.”

XANT’s recent addition to its leadership team, Tema Hunkin Laussen, executive director of the Do Good Foundation, will work closely with the Salesforce.com Foundation to further expand the Do Good Foundation’s reach, influence and impact.

“I’m excited to work with the Salesforce.com Foundation’s amazing team for such a meaningful cause,” Laussen said. “It will be an incredible experience to learn and collaborate with the best as we strive to make an even bigger and better impact in the world moving forward.”

XANT is also directly giving back to the community during this week’s Dreamforce 2014 conference in San Francisco, where 70 employees will donate time to nonprofit organizations including Stop Hunger Now, Talk Read Sing and Project Night Night in on-site volunteer projects.

The Do Good Foundation is committed to helping the underprivileged, children and women in need, as well as the mentally and emotionally challenged. Its efforts focus on 501(c)(3) nonprofits that spend at least 90 percent of the funds they raise on their causes.
