XANT Do Good Foundation Adds Seasoned Philanthropy Leader to Further Enhance Its Community Impact

Leadership: Tema LaussenSILICON SLOPES, Utah — Sept. 23, 2014– XANT, the leading cloud-based sales acceleration technology company, today announced it has added Tema Hunkin Laussen to lead its Do Good Foundation and further enhance its impact in the community.

Laussen brings more than 23 years of experience in philanthropic corporate business operations to the foundation. Prior to joining XANT, she served as associate director of major gifts at LDS Philanthropies for nearly 11 years, where she facilitated major gifts for Brigham Young University Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

“Tema’s brilliance, energy and enthusiasm will expand the reach and impact of the XANT Do Good Foundation to accelerate our efforts and focus our energies to be even more effective in helping our causes,” XANT CEO and Founder Dave Elkington said. “Her extensive experience and ability to build strong relationships will help the foundation grow while engaging others to join us in this important philanthropic work.”

Modeled after the Salesforce.com Foundation’s 1-1-1 model, the XANT Do Good Foundation donates 1 percent of company revenue, 1 percent of employee time, and 1 percent of product to worthy local causes.

The foundation is committed to helping the underprivileged, children and women in need, as well as the mentally and emotionally challenged. Its efforts focus on 501(c)(3) nonprofits that spend at least 90 percent of the funds they raise on their causes. The foundation’s goal is to promote self-reliance as it helps people further their education and better their living standards and environment.

Most recently, the foundation joined forces with local companies, such as The Clyde Companies, to transform the Maple Dell Scout Camp into an extreme high-adventure destination. Other projects have included work at a local women’s shelter, community garden and Utah County’s Food & Care Coalition.

“XANT believes in giving back to its community, and we are grateful for the support of other like-minded companies,” Laussen said. “We invite anybody who cares about the community to join the Do Good Foundation in doing good.”
